Weekend's Activity

 

Hello everyone this is Mohammad Bokhari, following on the weekend's home work. I wonder if any one wants to go with me for one of the suggested activities on Saturday or Sunday and I prefer movies but open for any suggestion. I believe it will be more fun if I don't go solo and I want to speak English more :)

WEEKEND HOMEWORK:  

1) Everyone should get out into the community and participate in one cultural activity this weekend.  A cultural activity might include:

  • a movie
  • a play
  • a lecture
  • eating at an ethnic restaurant
  • going to a museum
  • visiting an art gallery
  • going to a party with people not from your native culture
  • a concert of live music

 

Then, on Monday, be prepared to give a brief (1-3 minutes) oral report on what you did, including

  • Where you went
  • When you went
  • Who you went with
  • How you got there
  • What you saw
  • Your personal opinion or reaction

 

2) Grammar exercise perfect Verb Tenses

3)  Time idioms fill-ins

4) Basic Business Vocabulary matching and fill-ins

5) Read the article "Making it in America" and be prepared to answer the first page of questions

 

Discussion questions:

What is an Economic System?

 

What are the main Economic Systems in the world today?

The Boston Public Library (est.1848) is a municipal public library system in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. It was the first publicly supported municipal library in the United States, the first large library open to the public in the United States, and the first public library to allow people to borrow books and other materials and take them home to read and use. The Boston Public Library is also the library of last recourse of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; all adult residents of the commonwealth are entitled to borrowing and research privileges, and the library receives state funding.
